Masters Athletic Performance has broad service offerings to meet its mission of providing top-notch services to Masters athletes, particularly those involved in endurance and ultra-endurance athletics, and those concerned about athletic longevity:

Consulting Services

For those situations where we can bring our skills to bear to resolve an issue for our clients --- one that might not require ongoing support - we offer personal consulting services. Projects can be quoted either on an hourly rate or a fixed project fee.

Speaking

MAP°s Head Coach, Anthony żWoofieî Humpage is available to speak to you groups, camps or other gatherings on matters relating to masters athletic performance, athletic longevity, ultra-endurance sports, hydration issues and performing in extreme environments. Coach Woofie is an accomplished public speaker on topics related to sport, fitness and business.

Coaching Services

We deliver coaching services to active masters athletes, especially endurance athletes, but also those folk who want to get back in the game. Coaching may be goal or event-oriented, - for example, preparing for an upcoming Ironman triathlon. Or it may be related to performance goals ¬ or, at its most basic level, fat loss and strength improvement.

Online
MAP offers two levels of online coaching to Masters athletes

Premium service allows close contact between coach and client where actual performance is closely monitored and adjusted as necessary. This is of interest not only for those who have high expectations of themselves, but also, for example, those athletes struggling with a complicated work-life-family-training balance.

Quarterly coaching is only offered to single-sport athletes. Plans are delivered four-weekly with pricing for a twelve-week block. Communication is through weekly e-mails. This service is best suited to experienced athletes whose training plans may be anticipated well in advance.

Both plans include a free subscription to TrainingPeaks.com, through which we deliver training plans. Clients administer their own logs and reports; data may be uploaded from heart rate monitors, power meters, GPS units, - even calorie counters to tell us how you shop!

Face-to-face Typically we do not accept ongoing face-to-face coaching engagements, but we will schedule specific appointments for special coaching sessions. These might be for special familiarization with strength training exercises, or video motion analysis of swimming, cycling or running. VO2max, metabolic and other tests may be included in these sessions.
